HISTORY® AND RAM TRUCK BRAND RE-UP PARTNERSHIP FOR “STORIES OF HORSEPOWER” CAMPAIGN

NATIVE AND BRANDED CONTENT PARTNERSHIP ENGAGES HISTORY VIEWERS WITH STORIES CENTERED ON HORSE RACING ACROSS LINEAR, DIGITAL, AND SOCIAL PLATFORMS

New York, NY – June 21, 2018 – HISTORY® and the Ram Truck Brand have partnered for a campaign titled “Stories of Horsepower.” The initiative showcases stories centered around the equestrian racing, leveraging the buzz around marquee horse races to engage HISTORY viewers through compelling storytelling across linear, digital, and social platforms.

“As marketers increasingly look for brand-safe environments to engage potential customers, we are proud that HISTORY continues to be among the most trusted environments in all of media,” said Brian Joyce, SVP of Ad Sales, A+E Networks. “We are thrilled to have RAM back for another branded content and native partnership as a continuation of our successful 2017 campaign. History’s reputation for storytelling allows us to effectively marry content and context to seamlessly integrate our programming and talent with RAM’s brand values.”

The branded vignette features “Forged in Fire” host Will Willis who takes a ride in the all new Ram 1500. Willis details what it takes to forge the best blades in the business, and the narrated story seamlessly integrates Ram branding and messaging about the all-new Ram 1500.

The native executions make up a short-form series thematically tied to horse racing. From a family who has been shoeing horses for generations, to the veterinarians, trainers, and the men and women who work hard to make sure the track is ready; “Stories of Horsepower” shares the side of the race that is not normally seen on TV. Each of the four executions will have a :30 and :90 second versions and will run on-air as well as on HISTORY’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages, as well as across all Ram Trucks’ platforms.

The branded and native content pieces launched in April together with “Off to the Races” quizzes for linear and social and continue through the month of June.

The “Stories of Horsepower” concept was created in partnership with Ram Truck agencies The Richards Group and UM, and 45th and Dean, A+E Network’s digital storytelling hub and social media agency, partnered with HISTORY and Ram to create the custom content for “Stories of Horsepower.”
