Los Angeles, CA (October 1, 2019) – As part of the Lifetime’s ongoing commitment to inform, support and empower women, Lifetime celebrates the 25th anniversary of its annual Stop Breast Cancer for Life initiative launching today, October 1 for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of the campaign’s milestone of supporting women’s health for over 25 years, Stop Breast Cancer for Life stretches across the flagship brands of the A+E Network’s Portfolio, with new PSAs customized for Lifetime, A&E and HISTORY.  The initiative will also be supported across the portfolio’s social platforms throughout the month that will include facts, tips and other information to fight breast cancer.

“Every October, people across the nation from all backgrounds, backstories and backyards come together to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer research,” said Paul Buccieri, President, A+E Networks Group. “They do it because they have been touched by breast cancer, whether it’s a mother, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a neighbor, a colleague, or even themselves.  This strikes a personal chord with many of us here at A+E Networks, including myself.  That is why I am particularly proud that Lifetime is celebrating 25 years in support of a cure.”

“The Breast Cancer Research Foundation has been proud to collaborate with Lifetime on these efforts for many years now,” said Myra Biblowit, President and CEO, Breast Cancer Research Foundation. “Together, we have reached millions of people and helped drive tangible change. We applaud Lifetime’s unwavering commitment to breast cancer research.”

All month long on Lifetime, the PSA features award-winning journalist and breast cancer survivor and thriver Robin Roberts, and stars of the new film Patsy & Loretta debuting October 19, Tony nominee Megan Hilty and Grammy and Tony winner Jessie Mueller, in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  In addition to a major social push on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, MyLifetime.com will also feature breast cancer resources, treatment plan guides, doctor check lists, facts about breast cancer, ad stories of survivors and thrivers.  Lifetime’s efforts on air and on social will be sponsored by Estée Lauder.

Live PD’s Sargent Sean “Sticks” Larkin will also be featured in a PSA airing on A&E and on the live show on October 18th, the Live PD crew will discuss the importance of breast cancer awareness.  American Pickers star Mike Wolfe, whose mother is a breast cancer survivor, is also featured in a new PSA that will air on HISTORY that will drive to mylifetime.com/StopBreastCancerForLife.

In addition to the PSAs, every Sunday morning in October at 10am ET/PT, Lifetime will air original movies from its’ rich history of stories centering on real-life stories of survivors and everyday heroes working to end breast cancer.   The movies, Olivia Newton John: Hopelessly Devoted to You, Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy, Living Proof and Five will also be available all month long on the Lifetime Movie Club App.   The schedule for the lineup includes:
