As President of Distribution for A+E Networks®, David Zagin oversees all affiliate sales revenue, domestic distribution and affiliate marketing for A&E®, HISTORY®, Lifetime®, Lifetime® Movies, FYI,™, VICELANDSM, LRW®, Military HISTORY®, HISTORY en Español® and Crime+InvestigationTM. Zagin also oversees all revenue, distribution and marketing efforts for A&E® in Canada. In addition, Zagin is responsible for A+E Networks® new media and business development for cable, satellite and telco distributors including TV Everywhere, video on demand, interactive, gaming and mobile distribution. Zagin has spearheaded the distribution growth of the company’s domestic cable networks, with A&E®, HISTORY® and Lifetime® now reaching more than 90 million households each. In addition, Lifetime® Movies is distributed to over 75 million subscribers, VICELANDSM to more than 70 million subscribers and FYI,™ to over 60 million subscribers.
Previously, Zagin held the position of Executive Vice President, Distribution. He joined A+E Networks® in 1999 as Senior Vice President, Affiliate Sales & Marketing. Prior to A+E Networks®, Zagin was at NBC Cable where he served as Vice President of Affiliate Sales, Local Ad Sales and Alternate Technology. Zagin joined NBC Cable in 1996 and was a member of the distribution management team responsible for the launch of MSNBC. Before his tenure at NBC Cable, he was Regional Vice President of Affiliate Sales for FOX Cable Networks. Zagin started his career in the cable industry with MTV Networks.
Zagin serves on the A+E Networks® management committee as well as industry boards including CablePAC, CTAM Educational Foundation and the T. Howard Foundation. Zagin is a recipient of the 2010 Vanguard Award for Marketing.
